Like many Alsatian wineries, the Justin Boxler estate perpetuates a family tradition passed down from father to son. It was in 1957 that the most significant developments shaped the estate as it is today.
The first bottling was initiated by Justin Boxler, marking a decisive turning point in the family’s history. Later, Anne and Pierre took over and breathed new life into the business, both technically and commercially. Their move to an EARL (small-scale limited liability company) allowed for the expansion of the estate and led to a phase of modernization: new cellar, new winery, new farming practices, and a redesigned visual identity.
This momentum is now carried by the new generation, with continuity and a renewed vision.
Among the recent developments: the estate’s first Crémants were produced in 2020, and a new whole-harvest vinification approach for Pinot Noir was tested from 2022.
One of the founding acts of this transition was also the commitment to converting to organic farming in 2019. This approach culminated in the 2022 vintage, the first vintage officially certified AB (Organic Agriculture).
